Al-Baqarah(The Cow)

But those who wronged changed [those words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment [i.e., plague] from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying.

ஆனால், வரம்பு மீறிக்கொண்டே வந்த (அ)வர்கள் தங்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்ட வார்த்தையை மாற்றிவிட்டு கூறப்படாத ஒரு வார்த்தையை (‘ஹின்ததுன்' கோதுமை என்று) கூறினார்கள். அவர்கள் இவ்விதம் (மாற்றிக் கூறி) பாவம் செய்ததனால் வரம்பு மீறிய (அ)வர்கள் மீது வானத்திலிருந்து வேதனையை இறக்கி வைத்தோம்.
