Al Muhiy (الْمُحْيِي) is one of the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah (Asma ul Husna). It translates to “The Giver of life” in English and “உயிரளிப்பவன்” in Tamil (தமிழ்).

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Allah has ninety-nine names — whoever memorizes them will enter Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736)
Muslims are encouraged to call upon Allah using His beautiful names during supplication (du'a). The Quran states: “And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them.” (Surah Al-A'raf 7:180)
