Al Hakam (الْحَكَمُ) is one of the 99 Beautiful Names of Allah (Asma ul Husna). It translates to “The Judge” in English and “தீர்ப்பளிப்பவன்” in Tamil (தமிழ்).
He is the One who judges and decides between creatures here below and in the hereafter and He who ensures equity between the creatures and no one else will and will not be able to decide between them and judge them; and the Judgment in the hereafter will be perfectly just and appropriate.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Allah has ninety-nine names — whoever memorizes them will enter Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2736)
Muslims are encouraged to call upon Allah using His beautiful names during supplication (du'a). The Quran states: “And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them.” (Surah Al-A'raf 7:180)
