DMK and Muslims: A Bond of Real Protection 💚

When DMK founder Thiru C.N. Annadurai started the party, he brought a beautiful rule: "Ondre Kulam, Oruvane Devan" which means "One Humanity, One God". This matches perfectly with the core ideas of Islam, which teach equality, peace, and brotherhood.

The great Muslim leader Quaid-e-Milleth was a close friend of DMK leaders like Anna and Kalaignar Karunanidhi. In 1967, when an Islamic prayer hall was attacked, Anna’s DMK government immediately sent police vehicles to protect the area. They rebuilt the hall in a single night so people could perform their Eid prayers safely.

Kalaignar Karunanidhi gave real power to Muslims by introducing the 3.5% separate reservation in education and government jobs, helping thousands of Muslim youth become doctors, engineers, and officers.

The DMK has always respected Islamic traditions. Karunanidhi set up the Urdu Academy to protect the language and introduced an official government holiday on Milad-un-Nabi. Today, Thiru M.K. Stalin continues this tradition by hosting grand Iftar events and supporting minority schools.
