Beware of Fake Al-Khair Online Loan Ads

A big online fraud called the Al-Khair Loan Scam is active on Facebook and Instagram. Cyber cheats put up fake advertisements offering quick, interest-free personal loans with no CIBIL check. They are misusing the name of a real, trusted bank called Al-Khair Co-operative Credit Society based in Aurangabad. The real bank only gives physical gold loans to local people at their office and never gives loans online or over WhatsApp.

When you click the ad, it opens a WhatsApp chat with a fake officer who sends forged ID cards and approval letters. They tell you your loan is approved but demand an advance payment of ₹1,750 for "processing fees" or "GST charges." If you pay, they keep calling to demand more money under different names. Once you refuse, they block your number, delete the chat, and vanish.

If you lost money, immediately call your bank to stop the payment and request a reversal. Next, call the Government Cyber Crime Helpline at 1930 right away so the police can freeze the fraudster's bank account. Report the incident online with your payment receipts at cybercrime.gov.in.
