The 99 Names of Allah: Al-Bari' (The Maker of Perfect Order)
In our previous article, we learned about Al-Khaliq, the Creator who plans and measures everything from nothing. But what comes after planning?
The next step is turning that plan into a real, physical form where all the parts work together seamlessly. This brings us to the twelfth Beautiful Name of Allah: Al-Bari'.
What Does Al-Bari' Mean?
Al-Bari' translates to "The Evolver," "The Maker," "The Originator," or "The One Who Creates Order."
The Arabic root word Bara'a means to manifest, bring into existence free from flaws, and create harmony between different elements. While Al-Khaliq is the Creator who designs the plan, Al-Bari' is the One who executes that plan into physical reality, making sure every organ, bone, and system works together in perfect balance.
Allah mentions Al-Bari' alongside Al-Khaliq and Al-Musawwir in the Quran:
"He is Allah, the Creator (Al-Khaliq), the Maker (Al-Bari'), the Fashioner (Al-Musawwir); to Him belong the best names." (Quran 59:24)
The Harmony of Creation
Think about the human body: you have lungs to breathe, a heart to pump blood, eyes to see, and a brain to think. None of these systems clash with each other. Instead, they operate in smooth, quiet harmony every second of your life.
That perfect harmony is the work of Al-Bari'. He creates everything with distinct parts that fit together flawlessly. From the water cycle that feeds plants to the orbits of planets in space, Al-Bari' ensures that creation functions without chaos.
How Can We Use This Name in Our Lives?
Understanding Al-Bari' can bring order, harmony, and peace into your daily routine. Here is how:
1. Strive for Order in Your Daily Life
If Allah is Al-Bari', who creates perfect harmony in the universe, we should avoid chaos and confusion in our own lives. Organize your time, keep your living space clean, and fulfill your responsibilities on time. Bringing structure into your life reflects the harmony taught by Islam.
2. Recognize Your Body as a Miracle
Every time your heart beats without you having to remind it, remember Al-Bari'. Your body is an incredible system designed to work smoothly. Treat it with respect by eating healthy food, getting enough sleep, and avoiding harmful habits.
3. Seek Harmony in Relationships
Al-Bari' makes different parts work together in peace. In your family or community, strive to be the person who connects people rather than creating friction. Help solve misunderstandings and promote peace wherever you go.
