Your phone, your clothes, your house, your car, or even your physical body. None of them are permanent.

In a hundred years, every person currently reading this article will have passed away. In a few thousand years, today's megacities will be ancient history. At the end of time, stars will burn out, galaxies will collapse, and the entire universe as we know it will come to a complete, silent stop.

Every created thing has an expiration date.

So when everything perishes — when the last human takes their final breath, when the last angel falls silent, and when the universe folds up like a scroll — who remains?
