Campaign Story
Several households in Wayanad were displaced after heavy flooding damaged homes, stored food, and household essentials. Local volunteers verified the affected families, photographed the damage for private admin review, and coordinated temporary shelter and food assistance.
The flood affected over 40 families in the Meppadi and Vythiri regions. Many families lost their entire belongings, including clothing, kitchen utensils, and stored grain. Children's school supplies were destroyed, and several families with elderly members need immediate medical attention.
The local mosque and community leaders have stepped in to coordinate relief efforts, but the scale of the disaster requires wider support. The funds will be used to provide dry rations, hygiene kits, temporary shelter materials, and medical supplies.
Every distribution is documented with photographs and receipts, which are shared with the admin team for verification. The community committee provides weekly reports on how the funds are being utilized.
