👽 Does the Qur'an Mention Aliens?
👽 Does the Qur'an Mention Aliens?
Are we alone in the universe? This question has fascinated both scientists and believers for centuries.
The Qur'an does not explicitly confirm or deny the existence of extraterrestrial life. However, one verse has led many scholars to discuss the possibility:
"And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the living creatures He has dispersed throughout both of them. And He is Able to gather them whenever He wills."
— Surah Ash-Shura (42:29)
The Arabic word "dabbah" means living, moving creatures. Some scholars interpret this as referring only to Earth's creatures, while others believe the wording leaves open the possibility of life elsewhere in Allah's creation.
Modern astronomy has confirmed more than 5,000 exoplanets, but there is still no confirmed evidence of intelligent extraterrestrial life.
The Qur'an also reminds us:
"And He creates what you do not know."
— Surah An-Nahl (16:8)
Whether life exists beyond Earth remains unknown. Islam teaches humility before Allah's limitless creation rather than making claims without evidence.
What do you think? Could Allah have created other living beings beyond our world? Share your thoughts respectfully.
